Hi,

I've been using Designer for wix toolset for a while now .it's going reasonably well. What I'm looking for is useful advice regarding installation of same version.
I have sent an msi with a version(ex:3.81) that needs to be installed in the client machine,It has installed without any issue.but,when i used to send the same version(ex:3.81) with little changes in program it used to install without overriding the previous installation,it is showing perfectly both the versions in control panel.
Here the thing i need is an alert message or has to override the present installation when user used to install same version(3.81).

Hello Mohan,

Please make sure that you set the RemovePrviousVersion property to true. This doesn't directly relates to your issue but you may also want to set the DetectNewerInstalledVersion to true.

Also note that the MSI thinks you are installing a new product if you do anything of the below:
- modify the UpgradeCode property;
- modify the Localization property.
