I just purchased and installed the Wix Converter tool and the first time I go to run it I get a message box that says "Could not find a part of the path 'C:\Program File (x86)\Microsoft.NET\SDK\v2.0\Bootstrapper.'...

This is a Win 7 x64 machine with Visual Studio 2012 loaded....

Any Idea's?

Hi Steven,

Could you please check if
the 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft SDKs\Windows' registry key exists on your PC?
It contains the path to the Windows SDK installed on your PC (see the 'CurrentInstallFolder' value).

Yes the key exist's and it says: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SDKs\Windows\v8.0A\

The folder is indeed there and so it eh Bootstrapper folder under it.

Does the 'Bootstrapper' folder contain any files/folders?

Yes..

It has the following folders

- Engine (has 14 sub folders and 15 files)
- Packages (has 113 folders and 203 files)
- Schemas (has 1 file)

Steven, as your PC is x64 please check the same registry key but under the 'Wow6432Node' node.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Microsoft SDKs\Windows

The folder Bootstrapper exists and has:
- Engine (14 Folders and 15 files)
- Packages (82 Folders and 171 Files)
- Schemas (1 File)
