i had the same problem with Add-in-express 2010 for Office.Net and i fixed the same way as per your suggesion... and had to modify registry key for the following:

- AddinExpress.Design.2005, Version=6.0.3043.2005, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=4416dd98f0861965

- AddinExpress.MSO.2005, Version=6.0.3043.2005, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=4416dd98f0861965

- AddinExpress.RTD.2005, Version=6.0.3043.2005, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=4416dd98f0861965

- AddinExpress.SmartTag.2005, Version=6.0.3043.2005, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=4416dd98f0861965
