adxieCommand Does Not Fire OnClick Event in IE8 / Windows 7

Add In Express 2009 for Internet Explorer
Windows 7 Ultimate
Internet Explorer 8
Visual Studio 2008 with SP1

I recently upgraded my development machine to Windows 7, then compiled a
IE add in project I had been working on previously. The command button would
no longer fire the onclick event. I created a simple project with nothing but a
command bar button, and still no on Click event. I've set the UAC to the lowest
possible level and unregistered and reregistered the add in. Is this a known issue
in this environment, and is there any type of workaround? Not having the source,
I'm unable to debug anything prior to the OnClick event, which never fires.

Thanks
Mike M

Hi Mike.

I managed to reproduce the issue in IE8. Please add your commands to the Tools menu of IE.
We will fix this issue in the next version of the product. It will be published in January.
Or you can just upgrade the product up to v6.0.363: http://www.add-in-express.com/downloads/adxnet-ie.php

Thanks Sergey. We do not officially support Windows 7 and IE 8 until second quarter of 2010 for our product, but
it was causing some concern. We'll grab the upgrade and try that out, but we're not in a big hurry yet.

Interestingly, we would run the installation setup on a Windows 7 machine with IE8, and it would work half the time.
We could never get the onClick event to fire when working out of the Visual Studio environment, however.

I have registered a issue with add-in-express 2009.
http://www.add-in-express.com/forum/read.php?PAGEN_1=2&FID=10&TID=6532#nav_start

The solution is coming in add-in-express 2010.
How can i use it? Do I have to buy it again?

Do I still have to pay for this upgrade coming in Jan?
Also, I need to resolve this problem on an urgent basis. Please recommend the path to expedite this.

Jagdish,

If you had a valid Premium subscription, you would have received a key for version 2010 by that time. In your case, you had bought version 2008 Standard, then we gave you a free key for version 2009 Standard, and now you have 2 alternatives:
- upgrade to version 2010; you can buy any package of version 2010 with a 50% discount
- wait for us to release the next build of version 2009

Also, currently what I see is version 2009. There is no version 2010.
How and when can I upgrade to version 2010?
