Advanced bar can not be resized in Win 8

Advanced bar can not be resized in Win 8

Hi everybody!
In the transition to Win 8 I have a problem with the Advanced bar. After launch Advanced bar takes up almost all space of the IE window and it can not be resized vertically (horizontaly can be changed). On Windows 7 everything worked fine. I tested on two different computers and on the VS 2010 and VS 2012. I use the Add-in Express for IE 8.2, IE 10.

What is DPI set on Windows 7 and Windows 8 (see the Display settings)?

If I understand you correctly you're talking about the Display control panel - Appearance and Personalization - Сhange the size of all items.
For Win 7 and Win 8 the size is 100%

Everything was easy. I set the property Layout = Top instead of Layout = Left in AdxieAdvancedBarItem1. Thank you Sergey for help. The only thing remains unclear why Advanced Bar behaves differently in Win 7 and Win 8.

Hi Vadim,

Advanced bar saves its size and position automatically. However, when you run it for the first time, the design-time settings are used. Probably it caused the difference.
