Hi,
I am trying to save some user settings with ADX for IE. The problem is, I am using Win7 x64 and IE 32bit, and the saving do not save. Actually if I am manually creating/copying files to the LocalAppData, it is not visible from outside the application. So, there's some virtualization. Never ran into in before. Did you hear about it, can you recommend anything? I just need to save user's preferences and maintain local persistent cache.

Hi Stan,

It looks like you have the Protected mode enabled in Internet Explorer. Am I right?

Anyway, please take a look at the similar http://www.add-in-express.com/forum/read.php?FID=10&TID=9363 forum thread. Also please find a suggested way of saving a file when in Protected Mode - http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms537319(VS.85).aspx

No it is not in protected mode. I have no idea what's going on with it :( It is IE9
but, indeed, I can write data to temp files\Low\{MYFOLDER}, and that's enough for now.
