I would like to registry my addin in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE. Is it some simple way or I must edit source code your adxAddIn.pas and add "Registry.RootKey := HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE"?

Hello Jan,

We were planning to realize this feature but gave up this idea for some reasons. We don't recommend you doing this.

Sincerely,
ADX Support Team

Hi Jan,

The main reason is the restricted user :-)
ADX stores some information about add-in command bars into the add-in registry path. Using HKLM the user should be able to save and to read HKLM. I think we are not inclined to change ADX in this aspect.

OK, Jan. We will think about the possibility to add... the RegistryToAll property of the add-in module. We'll probably add this feature to the next public version of ADX.VCL. I will let you know if we face some problems.

I would like to see this feature too (also for ADX.NET).

The Addin I am working on will be used on fresh installations of Windows only, so I will check if I can do a workaround by adding the registy entries to the HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Office... key.

When a new Userprofile is created these settings are used for the default values. So it should work. What do you think?
Best regards,

Hi Sven,

I do not see any problems to release this feature in the next public version of ADX.NET and VCL.

Or in the next premium builds? :-)
