How to set the proterty "Sent" on Outlook MailItem?

I create a mailitem and move to "sent items" folder, but there is a flag "this message has not been sent", i didn't call the mailitem.submit, because i only use outlook/mailitem as storage place, proterty "Sent" is readonly for mailitem. Is there a method to remove this flag?

I suppose that using Extended MAPI is the only way to change this flag.
