Saving add-in information on PST?
Is there a way to save my outlook add-in's configuration in a PST?

Or, what is the best way to save some configuration so that it's not lost when the user migrates? Ideally, something that the standard "Save my settings" office wizard will backup and restore. I've thought of an XML file but don't know how easy it is to "persuade" that wizard to include it in the save/restore. Any suggestions?

Hi Madruga.

We don't recommend to change Outlook PST files. But you can save the add-in settings in the system registry and then import/export the data using the regedit.exe tool.

P.S. Note that we take up your forum requests in the order we receive them.
Besides, it may take us some time to investigate your issue. Please be sure we will let you know as soon as the best possible solution is found.

Hi Fernando,

You can try to create a mail or post item in the root folder ("Personal Folders") and store your configuration info in the item body. Usually this folder doesn't show Outlook items but it doesn't mean they are not there.
