I have something odd going on on some systems where I receive the OnDocumentChange event in Word but there's no document there (ActiveDocument has nothing and Documents.Count is 0). If the user opens the document again it works ok.

It seems to be related to a feature in Windows/Office whereby it checks if the documents have any issues. If you click on "File" the "Info" section shows "Inspect Document" and "Searching for Issues".

What puzzles me is that I seem to be getting the event before the document is actually available. Does that make any sense?

Not too sure what I can do about this?

Ignore this. I think it's essentially protected document but not sure why it takes forever to get to the point of saying so! Only seems to happen on some setups.
