Outlook - how to open other user's folder w/ADX 2.2.0?

This is similar to the earlier "no plugin buttons" post, I think. I'm using ADX 2.2.0 for an Outlook add-in. In both my project and the ADXToys2OL demo, attempting to open another user's folder with the add-in installed crashes Outlook (2000 & newer) right after the toolbar appears. I gather from the previous post that the handling of this has changed from v1.9 to 2.x, but I don't see anything in the docs that I recognize as being relevant. Can you point me to the right spot in the docs, or provide the info on how to make this work? (If you can provide the info to make the demo work, that would get me going.)

Thanks,
Jack

Alternatively, how can I prevent my add-in from being loaded if the user open's another user's folder?

OK, here's the answer in case anybody else is wondering...

It turns out ADX add-ins DO work OK with other users' folders - but you have to give permissions to the opening user at the mailbox level, not just at the level of the folder you want to open, AND you have to give the opening user Delegate permissions on the account.

So, if Bob wants to be able to open Mary's Exchange mailbox Inbox folder for use with an ADX add-in, Mary must give Bob Delegate permissions on her inbox, AND she must give Bob some level of permissions on her Exchange mailbox, not just the Inbox.

It seems I have found where the roots of the problem are. We rebuilt our ADXToys2OL demo project, so you can test it anew. We will fix the bug in the upcoming build of Add-in Express.

BTW our test PCs have always had the scheme of delegating permissions like you described above.

Hi, Dmitry -

OK, I've just tried the new demo and that seems to have fixed the problem - I can use it on other users' folders with only Delegate permissions.

When do you expect the next build to be available?

As always, thanks for the quick support!

Hi Jack,

I think we will publish it as a premium build at the end of the week.

Hi, Eugene -

OK, I'll be looking forward to it! Guess I'll need to move to the newer version after all...

By the way, I see that opening another user's folder with NO permissions (neither folder nor delegate) still crashes Outlook instead of showing the Outlook "Unable to display the folder" dialog. It would be great if you could fix this, as otherwise users will crash Outlook every time they try to open a folder they don't have permission for...

When do you expect to release the new build? Still the end of the week?
