ActiveX error - MS Access on Terminal Server

We just installed the latest version of Outlook Security Manager on Win2000 terminal server.

secman.dll was successfully registered.

In MSAccess2000 Secman 1.0 Type Libary is selected and SecmanLib can be found in the object browser.

However, we get an "ActiveX can't create object" error message here

Dim OlSecurityManager As Object

Set OlSecurityManager = CreateObject("AddInExpress.OutlookSecurityManager")

Any ideas?

Hi John,

You seem to have forgotten about the second redistributable file. Please read the Deployment chapter (page 35) of the Outlook Security Manager ActiveX Development Guide.

Can't find osmax.ocx. Where should it be?

Or is it possible not to install? I didn't do the installation.

Hi John,

After you install the ActiveX edition of the Outlook Security Manager, see the Redistributables subfolder.

Hi Dmitry,

Redistributables only has secman.dll in it.

I asked our system admin to do an install on another workstation and he says he still can't find it.

Is it possible they purchased the wrong version?
Or is it possible to install the wrong version?

Cheers,
John

Right. You need to install the ActiveX edition of Outlook Security Manager.
