Matt,

You have installed and activated ADX.NET and the problem remains. Am I ringt?

Matt, our activation service shows that you activated once - 8/11/2004 7:41:58 AM. You seem not to be able to get round your firewall. Please try to activate manually and let me know about the result.

Yeah I install on the 8/11 on my home machine using XP and .Net 2003 which I did manually and it all installed and works fine. I then did re-install my home machine and as I got a seperate harddisk and tried the auto registration which failed. I therefore manually registered and it all works fine no problems love the tool.

I am now at work with two machines that have been installed from scratch i.e. not imaged using xp pro then all windows updated applied and office 2003 and .net 2003 installed no other software. I have configured an outlook profile that is all. When I install the plugin I get the error. I have just installed the toys download and that has worked fine. So it is simply the tool not being registered in visual studio that is failing and the its rolls back. I am in the UK using MSDN visual studio .net 2003

Is there a manual possibility ?

Matt,

What plugin do you mean?

How to activate ADX.NET manually:
1. Uninstall all previous version of ADX.NET
2. Run ADX.NET setup package
3. Follow the instruction
4. When an activation wizard is started, click Next, select "Manual activation process", click Next, enter your Registration Name, enter your Reggistration Code, and click Go.
5. Copy from the opened page the activation code to the Activation Code on the wizard dialog box.
6. Click Next and Finish.

Activated?

Hi

slight confusion I'm not having trouble registering the installer the installer is failing after copying all the files to the disk with the message:

An exceptionn occured in the OnAfterInstall event handler of AddinExpress.Wizard.ADXWizardInstaller. -> Add-in Express library is not registered!

I have re-installed two machines with XP Pro SP1 office 2003 and .net 2003 MSDN version and the error is repeatable. How do I overcome the fact that the installer will not register the actuall add-in within visual studio.
