Andrei, Can you please suggest me the possible place to keep our code changes if not CommandBarsUpdate event. We have release in next week, waiting for your suggestions.

Thank you.

Hi Sridhar,

Unfortunately, Andrew and Eugene are on vocation. If the issue is urgent I will try to get into the matter from the very beginning and find a solution.

Hi Alexander,
Thanks for your reply. If you go throgh this link you will come to know the what the problem is. On 11-Aug i posted two queries, also sent a sample application to support mail-id. If you want i will send it again.

We implemented too heavy code in command bar update event. But as per andrew's recommondation, we should not use too heavy code in commandbar update event. if not command bar update event, where should i keep this code?

We have release in next week, if andrew is back by ealry next week i can discuss with him and figure it out. If not you please let me know what else you need to know to provide a solution.

Regards

I will try to solve your problem by the next week.

Hi Sridhar,

I have looked at your sample project. In the CommandBarsUpdate version that is used in it, there shouldn't be any problems.

P.S. Still I can't understand your way of visibility property management. I think it is needed only when Outlook starts. Then the FolderName property will take it over, which has the same functionality that you have in your code.
Instead of Visibility I would recommend to use the Access (enable/disable) to the CommandBar controls and implement it in the ExplorerForlderSwitch event. At the same time we can get rid of the unpleasant visual effect in Outlook.

Thanks.

Thank you Alexander.
So, i can continue with the same code implemented in the commandbarsupdate event.

I will implement your suggestion regarding visible property. Thanks again.
