Hi Sergey,
In our organization, individual users have access to My Documents folder but it resides on a different drive. Also the new addin will be distributed to people outside of our organization and we are not sure whether they will have access to C: drive or any folder. We don't want to assume that users will have access to a folder.
We would like to setup the new addin such that all users who login to a comman PC should be able to use the addin after admin installs it on that PC.

Hi Hemant.

I am afraid it is not possible with Excel Automation add-ins.
The fact is that Excel Automation add-ins can be installed for the current user only. So you will have to install the add-in for each user separately.

Hi Sergey,
In your first reply, you mentioned you would fix the issue in new build. Wasn't that related to our issue ? If not, then could you please suggest how we can resolve our issue ?
Thanks.

Hi Hemant.

I tried to fix it but it didn't work for all users. I would suggest you to use the latest Add-in Express version (v3.1) and install your application for each user on a PC.

Thanks Sergey, I think that's the only solution as of now.
Thanks again.

Hi Sergey,

Is the conclusion that there's no way to install an application that uses add-in Express for all users (when the installing user has admin priveleges of course) ?
We've encountered the same issue...

Thanks,
Nir

Hi Nir.

I suppose we are talking about Excel Automation add-ins.
This type of COM add-ins is designed for the current user only. And it doesn't depend on the Add-in Express .NET product.
