Hello Andrei,
No, that doesn't make a difference. I've also tried to install the 2022 extension development workload, but that also didn't help.
I did notice however, that the uninstall still gave the same error when I installed it with only 2019 checked.
On a test vm with Windows 11 and only VS 2022 it installs fine, but on another VM (Win 10) with 2019 and 2022 it results in the same error.
Hope I didn't exceed my activation limit :)
Addition:
I've checked my GAC, but there isn't anything Add-in-Express related left (checked with gacutil /l | find /i "express"). I do have some empty folders in C:\Windows\assembly\GAC_MSIL called:
AddinExpress.OL.2005
AddinExpress.PP.2005
AddinExpress.ToolbarControls.2005
AddinExpress.WD.2005
AddinExpress.XL.2005 |

Hello Andrej,
today my attempt to install Add-in Express 10.0.4700 was successful. But only when I select one of both Visual Studio versions. It never worked to check all two versions (error message "The method "execute" ... not implemented..." is displayed).
- I uninstalled the old version and searched for old Add-in Express folders in the programs folder.
- Then I started the "Visual Studio Developer Command Prompt" as Administrator.
- I copied the output of "gacutil /l" from command line to an editor and search for "AddinExpress". Each assembly I found I removed with "gacutil /u AssemblyName" (e. g. "gacutil /u AddinExpress.PP.2005").
- After that I restarted my computer.
- I installed Add-in Express 10.0.4700 for VS 2022 only and it worked. It also works when Iinstall it for VS 2019 only. But not for both.
One problem I have now is that registration says that I exceeded my activation limit for subscription #2. I used it for my installation attempts, but at the moment it is not installed on any machine.
Regards
Lydia |

I tried to install for 2019 only again, but now it also gives an error. A different one than before (with an expandable exception)

Installing 9.5 also fails with an exception |

I've cleared my GAC, Program Files (x86), C:\Windows\assembly\GAC_MSIL and rebooted, but it still doesn't let me install 9.5. Also note that my registry is still full with a lot of AddInExpress related stuff...
Now what? |

Sorry to make another post, but my test vm is now also broken. Can't install 9.5 anymore even after uninstalling VS 2022.
Please help. I have work that needs to be finished... |

Hello Alexander,
I would like to access your PC remotely. Is this possible? If yes, I suggest using TeamViewer; in this case you'll need to send me your session ID and password; send them to the support email address.

@all
Alexander's issue is solved. Supposedly, it was caused by Add-in Express assemblies (or even Add-in Express folders) in GAC.

Alexander has mentioned in a separate email that he repaired his VS 2019 before that. So this might also help us solve his issue.
As to the main issue - inability to install Add-in Express 10 for VS2019 and VS 2022 simultaneously - we don't know what causes it yet. Working on this.
