Not yet, it's planned for the next days.

Yes the add-in is enabled on your system, but if you've once disabled it and enabled again then the freeze doesn't occurs anymore...

And as you told me in your first post:
Actually, I saw a freeze when I started the add-in. for the first time. I cannot reproduce this after I turn all other COM add-ins off.

So you succeed to reproduce the bug, even in ADX v7.6
You got the freeze on your test env, now you can't get it again as you've disabled VBA add-in, even if you enable it again.

To get the freeze back, I had to restore a VM snapshot took before I started to test.

I disable add-ins by setting LoadBehavior=0 in the registry. I never disable the Mictrosoft VBA for Outlook Add-in because it isn't listed in HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Office\Outlook\Addins and HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\Outlook\Addins.

I've reproduced the issue on another system. I'm trying to dig up the cause of the issue.

Hell Andrei

Thank you for your help, I hope you'll find the reason of this freeze.

Do you know what's the usage of VBA Outlook Add-in ? Do you think we could automatically disable it when our add-in start ?

Hello Fabrice,

I don't think the issue relates to that add-in.

Add-ins are loaded in the alphabetical order of their ProgIds. If your add-in gets loaded before that add-in, you can try to set LoadBehavior=0 for this registry key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\Outlook\Addins\Microsoft.VbaAddinForOutlook.1

Mille pardons. I was wrong saying this add-in isn't listed in HKCU/HKLM. I've never paid attention to this entry before.

Could you please comment out the code lines containing adxOlFormsCollectionItem1.FolderNames.Add and check if the add-in creates the folders on a fresh VM snapshot? Also please check if the folders get created on the server side and the Sync Issues folder contains no newly created items. Does navigating to such a folder create a sync issue for you?

Test result:
When commenting the line, the folders are correctly created and are shown in Outlook, in the list of folder.
But indeed there are some entry about these folders in the "Sync Issues" folder:
15:37:10 Error in folder 'Dynamic Flows'
15:37:10 [800CCCD2-0-0-733]
15:37:10 Terminated in error
15:37:10 [800CCCD2-0-0-733]

Do you know why ?

If your add-in gets loaded before that add-in, you can try to set LoadBehavior=0 for this registry key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\Outlook\Addins\Microsoft.VbaAddinForOutlook.1

Indeed when I set "LoadBehavior" to 0 for the VBA add-in it continue to crash. So it seems that it's a coincidence that the crash stopped when unchecking this add-in.

I was testing this problem on an old IMAP account, which had several Outlook client connected.
So I tried to create a new IMAP account and only use it with the test environment.

Result: still crashing.

Here is the sync log, there is no more error:

16:06:08 Synchronizer Version 15.0.rup
16:06:08 Synchronizing Mailbox 'imap@xxxxxx.be'
16:06:09 2 folder(s) added to offline store
16:06:09 Synchronizing server changes in folder 'Inbox'
16:06:09 Done

16:06:10 Synchronizer Version 15.0.rup
16:06:10 Synchronizing Mailbox 'imap@xxxxxx.be'
16:06:11 Synchronizing server changes in folder 'Inbox'
16:06:11 Synchronizing server changes in folder 'Dynamic Flows'
16:06:11 Synchronizing server changes in folder 'Modules'
16:06:11 Done

After removing the add-in I tried to delete the folders, and I can't delete these folder. I've this error in the sync issue:

16:08:38 Synchronizer Version 15.0.rup
16:08:38 Synchronizing Mailbox 'imap@dynamicflows.be'
16:08:38 Synchronizing server changes in folder 'Inbox'
16:08:38 Error synchronizing folder
16:08:38 [800CCC0F-0-0-560]
16:08:38 Canceled

So I can't delete these folders ...

Sorry, I can't send the project today.

In fact I reproduce the issue in the VSTO project. But I have some ideas of what can be done in the code and now I need to check them. Let's continue tomorrow.
