Hi,

I need to re-install my Add-in Express 2010 for Office and .NET, Professional package which I have a license for.

The installation fails after seeing me accept its default installation path with the following message:
* There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personal or package vendor *.

Please note that I have:
- copied locally and unblocked downloaded install msi and setup.exe files
- tried both of them directly and via command line. in each case I attempted my run as an administrator
- my UAC is disabled
- I've already used addin express before, just needed to re-install
- I use Visual Studio 2010

Please could you advise on next steps in order for me to successfully complete Add-in Express 2010 for Office and .NET, Professional installation?

Thank you,
Anna

Hi Eugene,

UAC enabled.Install still unsuccessful.

what do you mean by activating the product automatically? There in no option given to me, no matter how i run the install, command line, setup exe or msi.

Thanks,
Anna

Product activation Wizard doesn't come on until the install file is happy to proceed and with my failing professional package install I do not get that far.

Hi Anna,

Please check out the following registry hive:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Add-in Express\ADX NET 2010 Professional

Does it contain any records? Please try to remove them. Does it help?
