Hi,

Does anyone know what would be causing a user to receive a 'Root element is missing.' error when they try and install the application?

This is only happening on one persons computer.

Hi Darren,

What application does your user try to install? Is it an Add-in Express based COM add-in? If so, may I see the adxregistrator.log file (typically you can find it in the <My Documents>\Add-in Express folder)?

Tip -

If you get this error message:

Root element is missing,
The user may have no permission to read the web-page or website the file is hosted at.
