Outlook 2010 Drag & Drop
after Drag & Drop on a custom Form Region, Outlook stops refreshing reading pane

Hi,

I just upgraded to the current Beta 2 of your 2010 Product in order to support Outlook 2010. After recompiling, I stumbled across several issues that make my add-in unusable:
- I use a custom Form region which displays "virtual folders" from my database. After dropping items onto that form, Outlook stops updating the reading pane
- Custom regions only work when located in "BottomNavigationPane". Anywhere else, the Outlook list views are corrupted and unusable.

Since my add-in is no longer usable now, I urgently need some hints that help me to get this up again. I have prepared an example project that I can provide, if needed (just a new add-in with one form).

Thanks in advance,

Gerhard

P.S.: I am using a German 32-bit Outlook 2010 on a 64bit Windows environment, Visual Studio 2008.

Hi Gerhard,

Please send me that project. You can find the support e-mail address in readme.txt. Please make sure your e-mail contains a link to this topic.

Also, I'd like that you send me a screenshot of your Outlook 2010 with and without your add-in installed.

Please provide us with any additional information that you think might be helpful. Thank you in advance.

I cannot reproduce the issue with the latest intermediate build. But I'd like that you check if the issue persists with a full-scale implementation of drag-n-drop. May I send you that build for testing?

That issue seems to be fixed, too.

Thank you, Gerhard!

I've reproduced the issue at last. I believe it will be fixed in the release version.
