Hello Heinz-Josef,

Any idea what may cause this problem?

1. What OS do you use? SP? x64?
2. Could you reproduce the issue with a newly created simple add-in?

Hi Eugene,

thanks for responding - the OS is Win 7/64 Bit, the installation is started with 'Run as Admin...' , the same add-in installs on my test system, also Win 7/64 and Outlook 2003/SP 3, and on other sytems with various OSes and Outlook versions without any problems. May this error be caused by a virus scanner or security suite?

What kind of antivirus software do you use?

BTW Is the UAC enabled? Do you install the add-in for all users?

Hi Eugene,

the user has Avira Antivir Premium, UAC enabled and installs with admin account, rightclick and 'Run as admin...', so access rights should be sufficient...

Hi Heinz-Josef,

Please http://www.add-in-express.com/files/projects_pub/beta2fix/adxloader.zip and replace the adxloader.dll with a new one.
