I cannot locate the DLL in the bin directory that contrains the ToolBar controls, have it been moved or is it deprecated in this new version? There is no AddinExpress.ToolbarControls.2005.dll.

Thanks for any help.

Hi Jordan,

It's really strange. I have version 6.0.3037 Standard installed on my PC; AddinExpress.ToolbarControls.2005.dll is located in the following folder:

C:\Program Files\Add-in Express\Add-in Express for .NET\Bin\

Okay, I'll do a re-install. Just wanted to make sure it was supposed to be there first.

I just noticed the AddinExpress.ToolbarControls.2005.xml does exist but not the dll, maybe it got deleted somehow.

Okay, Re-installed and it doesn't show up under C:\Program Files\Add-in Express\Add-in Express for .NET\Bin.
Just the .xml file.

I noticed the installation directory got changed fr om 2008 to 2010. You guys took the year off the default directory, which is good because then subsequent installs means I don't have to repoint my references. I don't if it changed in 2009, because I wasn't able to download 2009. Is it leftover from a 2009 installation on your machine?

Is there any way fro 2008 to co-exist with 2010, because that would be ideal. Or can I just copy the DLL over from another box wh ere 2008 is installed?

Oh additional environment information:

Windows 7
Visual Studio 2008 Service Pack 1

First i tried the repair, then I completely removed it and reinstalled it.

Hi Jordan,

You need to re-install Add-in Express using the Automatic Activation option of the installer. Before installing the product, please remove the following key (if it exists):

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Add-in Express\ADX NET {version} {package}

Some additional research for you. I installed Visual Studio 2008 (version 9.0.21022.8) and Add-in-Express 2010 on a new server (Windows Server 2008 Servic Pack 1) and I can re-create the same behavior. Everything looks to be there except for "AddinExpress.ToolbarControls.2005.dll". So it's not just one machine :(

I haven't tried Windows XP, but I have to keep at least one dev environment with Add-in-express 2008 so I can continue working on my last good version of my code. I will send this info onto support as well.
