Hi everybody

how can we make our solutions being built by a teambuild of Team Foundation Server when on the server (of course) Add-In Express is not installed (but on our developer machines only)

Since the TFS would not find the Add-In Express installed during the team build on its local machine, the script will fail with errors like
"Type or Namespace "ADXAddinModule" could not be found..."etc.

Does anybody have a solution to that?

Thanx a lot in advance

Hi Ron,

I'd suggest installing Add-in Express on the build server.

Hi Andrei,

thanks for the suggestion. I thought, setup wouldn?t accept the same licence key as did the developing machine, but it did.

So this part of the build now is running fine, but now of course we will also have to install a Microsoft Office Suite to the build server, to make the build scripts work.

Question:
To ensure maximum compatibility with most office versions, do we have to install a certain version of MS Office or would Office 2007 be okay without limiting the deployed product to Office 2007 as well?

Thank you very much in advance,
Ron

Hi Ron,

You don't deploy any part of Office, you deploy interops. So what matters is the interops that your add-in uses, not the Office version installed on the build server.
