Yes I have seen what you are using.
Now I get the same error as you.

Do send Sergey the files, I am sure he will help you :)

edit:
When you take a look into the LogFile, you see a Message that the Error occured in the AfterInstall EventHandler

Sven,

Thanks for trying. It's good that you are also getting the same error message as me - that hopefully means it's not a problem with my machine! :-)

Cheers,

Phil

I am not sure.
I want to try to place all required Office Pias into the GAC but I have problems to install them.
I have seen you are using the 2003er Pias... did you tried to place them all into the GAC?

When you take a look into the Source of ADX you will see tha ADX willl create some Registry Key wich is not found on my Machine. So I guess the problem occures before. -> On Creating a Reference to your Addin.

Well, if you have the time I would suggest to change ADX so that after each step some Messagebox is open, to trace the source of the error.
You simply have to build an own ADX Version and rebuild your Addin.
You can change it back later.

I have to leave my Office now... see you tomorrow.

Hi Philip.

I have just tested your assemblies and I get the same error message.
I also tested a new simple add-in to make sure the problem is not in the ADX code. My add-in was registered successfully (I used the following command line:
installutil.exe /Addin="D:\Temp\Phil\MyAddin24.dll" AddinExpress.MSO.dll)

Can I look at the code of the OfficeAddin assembly?

Sergey,

Thanks for trying that for me.

I will email you the source code for the add-in project from my Yahoo account, but you will need to replace the project references with references to the DLLs already sent. I will give more information in the email.

Many thanks,

Phil

Just to let you guys know that we seem to have resolved our installations issues but setting the version number for all assemblies (in AssemblyInfo.vb) to a fixed version number, e.g. "1.0.0.0".

After removing and re-referencing all the projects, and recompiling, the add-in now installs successfully.

I hope this is the last time I have this issue!

Thanks for all of you help, Sergey and Sven.
