Hi,

We have an existing Excel addin. It's been build with help of Addin Express and is working fine for days.

But I was trying something about multiple versions of addin yesterday and since then I can't see the Toolbar and Menu. The udf's are available and working fine. But not the toolbar and menu. Also I can see the addin in Tools > Addin. Also this addin works fine on a colleague's pc.

Could you please help me with this issue?

What do you mean saying 'multiple versions of addin'?

Hi Sergey,

Multiple versions of addin like version 3.11, 3.21, 4.1. The version number you specify in the Setup properties. I read somewhere that increasing the major version of addin automatically removes the old version of addin. Obviously some other settings also need to be specified.

Hi Shailesh.

Increasing the major version of a COM addin will not uninstall previous add-ins. Please remove all previous add-ins via the Add/Remove Programs dialog of Windows and reinstall the latest version of your add-in.

Hi Sergey,

Yes, I'll do that henceforth. But could I do something about the damage which has already occured. Can I regain my addin UI back in excel.

Hi Shailesh.

You can remove remaining command bars via the Customize dialog in Excel.
