I'd like to create a toolbar for Windows Explorer in addition to Internet Explorer. However your documentation says:

Windows Explorer - Yes, Add-in Express resolves the Windows Explorer problem for Internet Explorer add-ons. The fact is that Windows Explorer runs all BHOs registered for Internet Explorer. Add-in Express disables loading of your IE add-ons for Windows Explorer, so your add-ons truly work for Internet Explorer only, but not for Windows Explorer.

Also, within the Windows Exploder toolbar, I'd like to be able to determine the currently selected file(s).

Any way to do this?

Hello Abe,

Our website states the following:

Add-in Express for Internet Explorer is the first visual tool for developing Internet Explorer add-ons. It completely supports the Internet Explorer extensibility API and makes add-on development and deployment very comfortable.

You are able to develop IE add-ons only with Add-in Express for IE and .Net.

There is a shim to prevent Windows Explorer from loading the toolbar referenced here:

I am afraid it is not possible as IE and Windows Explorer read the same registry keys. The adxloader.dll shim prevents your add-on from loading in Windows Explorer.

If I was to purchase the source code in the premium package, how difficult would it be to remove this shim?

Thanks.

Hello Abe,

We strongly don't recommend you to adapt the sources of Add-in Express for Windows Explorer with your own hands. It will not work correctly.
