i run the setup in office 2007 and my menu was not getting displayed so i add ribbon tag to my addin file and now my menu are displaying and the tab is comming,

but after running the setup Addin menu is also displayed which contain all my menu.

if i run my old setup without ribbon tab in my addin file in office2007 no menu is displaying.

just help me out.

Hi Sergey,

while creating setup i got four file created in my debug folder

folder : dotnetfx
folder : WindowsInstaller3_1
file : setup.exe
file : myapplication.msi

my target environmnet is vista and office 2007

if i run only myapplication .msi the setup is completed successfully and my application is displaying in add/remove program.
but my addin are not getting displayed in MsWord.

if i run setup.exe the setup is completed successfully and my application is displaying in add/remove program and addin are getting displayed in MsWord.

i m not able to understand where the actual problem is.

Ashish, do you install the add-in for all users (RegisterForAllUsers property of the addinmodule = true)?

In this case you should install the add-in under the admin account only.
Or you can use the setup.exe to elevate user's permissions and install it under a non-admin user. Of course, you will have to enter the administrator's password.
