Where I work, our normal logins have limited permissions on our computers. To install software such as ADX for .NET and VSTO, when I run setup.exe, I am prompted for a separate login and password that has admin permissions, so that the installer can install the software. That works fine.
However, I don't see the ADX templates and controls in Visual Studio 2022 unless I run it as admin. This makes it impossible to develop under my regular user account, which is where I normally use Outlook and other Office applications.
Is there a way to have the templates and controls available to VS 2022 when I run it as myself (i.e. my normal login ID and password)?
Is there an alternative workflow that I'm overlooking? |

Hello Roberto,
The issue occurs because Add-in Express has been installed for the administrator user account, not for your user account. You can get administrator privileges temporarily to install Add-in Express.
