Hi Andrei,

It's still happening after turning off all other COM add-ins and restart Outlook.

The following are the types of fld2 variable:

TypeName(fld2) = UserProperty
TypeName(fld2.Value) = String

Hello Jun Wei,

I've reproduced the issue using a VBA macro: when I call UserProperty.Value, an exception is fired: 0xf7a20009 (=-140378103) "The object does not support this method". Google doesn't know about it.

It looks like this is a bug. Or, probably, this is by design. I can't tell.

Hello Jun Wei,

At https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/office/vba/api/outlook.documentitem.userproperties, they write:

Even though olWordDocumentItem is a valid constant in the OlItemType enumeration, user-defined fields cannot to be added to a DocumentItem object and you will receive an error when you try to programmatically add a user-defined field to a DocumentItem object.
