Dear Add-in Express Team,

I have few users which are experiencing the same issue as described in this post https://www.add-in-express.com/forum/read.php?FID=5&TID=14992. After an upgrade to Version 9 two weeks ago this issue had been resolved but now it seems to be back. Do you have any idea what the reason could be?

Thanks.

Hello CageMan,

Could you please provide the build numbers of Add-in Express and Office? What Office application are you using and of what bitness? And the panes you are using, are these Add-in Express panes (of what type?) or Custom Task Panes that are actually UserControl objects that you use to populate the Task Panes collection of the add-in module?

Windows 10 64bit Version 1803 Build 17134.48
Office 365 Business, Version 1805 Build 9330.2087 Click-to-Run
Add-in Express 9.0.4610

We are using Microsoft PowerPoint with two ADXPowerPointTaskPanes and DevExpress controls.

I am having the same problem. Big Deal for us.
Windows 10 64 Bit Enterprise 1803 17134.48 (Auto Installed 5/15/2018)
Office 365 Business, Version 1805 Build 9330.2087 Click-to-Run 32 Bit (Auto Installed 6/4/2018 - I suspect this is the problem)
Add-In Express 8.7.4425

The Word Taskbar opens outside of Word. It is an add-in express Task Pane. Haven't made a change in months to code.

The placeholder where the taskpane is located is blank and the taskpane is centered on the screen. See Screenshot.

The taskpane can be closed, but cannot be used.

I was able to correct the problem by installing version 9 and recompiling my code.

You guys are going to get quite a windfall since no pre-version 9 task panes will not work as of this release of Office 2016.

Thank you, Jeffrey.

Hello CageMan,

How do you show the form? Maybe, you have some logic manipulating the visibility of the form? With no such logic, we are unable to reproduce this issue.

Hi Andrei, Finally I have been able to isolate the issue and I have created a test project. The issue is related to a DevExpress component I am using in my project. Please could you have a look and let me know if you will be able to help me to resolve the issue. Thanks.

PS: How can I send you the test project?
