Have you seen this error before? Any recommendation? Maybe reinstall and reboot first step?

Hello,

This issue is fixed. Switch to using Add-in Express 8.6. Make sure you replace loader files after the new Add-in Express version is installed; the simplest way is to register your project and confirm the replacement of loader files.

Thank you. Upgrading ADX version is a big deal for us. We only saw this error on one machine out of many hundreds. Can you confirm one more time that the ADX loader in 8.6 has changed compared to 8.4 to better stability like solving this?

The issue itself is located in AddinExpress.MSO.2005.DLL, not in the code of the loader. Since you have a Premium subscription, to bypass switching to another Add-in Express version, I could provide the code modification that fixes this issue. What do you think?

Thanks Andrei, I do not want to create unnecessary work. I take your answer as that you recommend an upgrade to 8.6 for increased stability. Planning to move to Visual Studio 2017 with the latest WIX version as well.

Just confirming that this did indeed solve the issue. Would be great to see any updates/changes you make to the ADXLoader in the version history. Thanks again.

Hello,

I see. It appeared I was wrong when saying "This issue is fixed." In fact, you report is the very first confirmation that the fix works. We will add a record in whatsnew.txt for the next Add-in Express build.
