I wrote an easy add-in for outlook (2013). Just one ribbon in explorer which shows one button. If you click it, it shows "hello". Then I register it. I start outlook,the ribbon is showing, button works :-)

If I save a mail as msg-file to the desktop and than open it with doubleclick, it opens in an extra outlook window.
Works :-)

If I close this window and try to reopen the msg with a doubleclick again, it shows "Can?t open file, it?s open". :-(

So, what?s my problem and how can i solve this? Can you help me?

Hello Bernd,

Would the issue persist if you unregister your add-in? If yes, try to turn off all of the other add-ins. You can also update Office.

without the add-in I can reopen the msg-file as often as I like ...

I updated ... and it works fine...

I've found the description of this issue which I posted at social.technet.microsoft.com a while back:

Note that you don't need any COM add-ins to reproduce the issue. I assume they know about it but they don't fix it for some reason.
