I am loading the designer for the AddinModule.cs in Visual Studio 2015 and am getting this error "The designer loader did not provide a root component but has not indicated why. "

Ignoring and continuing provides a limited view with only a handful of the objects existing and null reference exceptions whenever I try to edit anything.

Could you please advise what we can do to fix the designer loader?

Hello Sean,

Close the designer, rebuild your project, fix compile-time errors and warnings, reopen the designer. Does it work?

I note that sometimes on attempting to open the designer, an error message box appears saying:

Exception of type
'System.ComponentModel.Design.ExceptionCollection' was thrown.

does this help?

Hello Sean,

Make sure all references in your project are valid. If they are, remove all the Add-in Express related references and add them anew. Then close the designer, rebuild the project and open the designer. Does it work?

Hello Sean,

I would like to access your PC remotely within the next 3.5 hrs. Is this possible? If yes, I suggest using TeamViewer11 (download the installer at http://temp.add-in-express.com/support/as/ts11/TeamViewer_Setup-iqy.exe); in this case you'll need to send me your session ID and password.

I can organise this later today if that works for you. How should I pass my details to you?

Hello Sean,

It is okay with me if the remote session occurs within the next 6 hrs.

Please send the credentials to the support email address; find it in {Add-in Express installation folder}\readme.txt.
