We have noticed a problem when restarting Outlook and our add-in not rendering correctly.
If the user closes Outlook and then quickly opens it again, sometimes you do not get the "Outlook is starting" splash screen. Whenever this happens, our add-in is not being correctly rendering to the Bottom Navigation pane region. It does appear that our add-in is running as we have functionality that hooks into the Send/Receive event of Outlook, and triggering this even correctly triggers the add-in functionality.
From what I can tell, when the user restarts Outlook in this way, Outlook is not actually completely closed before it's opened again, but for some reason the add in is not being correctly triggered.
Is this a known issue and is there a solution or work around to ensure our add in is correctly rendered when Outlook is restarted in this manner?
We are using Add In express version 8.1.4350, .NET version 4.6.1 and this has been seen on Outlook 2013 and Outlook 2016. |
