Greetings,
Recently, we began receiving reports from users of our add-in (hosted in MS Word) that when the add-in is active, the Word spellchecker is disabled. In order to spellcheck their documents after using the add-in, they either have to launch the Spellcheck dialog in the ribbon or press the hotkey F7. This keeps it enabled for that document, but for the next new document it is again disabled.
Currently, the largest set of users see it under Word 2007 with some Word 2010 users experiencing this as well.
In our development environment, we are using Add-in Express for Microsoft Office and .NET, Professional v7.5.4072 inside of VS 2012.
We can duplicate the user experience in the development environment simply by "Registering ADX Project". At that point, when we run, the Word Spellchecker is disabled. If we "Unregister ADX Project" the Word Spellchecker is enabled and works as expected.
I haven't seen other reports of this behavior in the forum.
Kind Regards,
Paul |

Hi Paul,
What Add-in Express components do you use in your project? Is it possible for you to send your project (or some demo project with the same behavior) to me for testing? You can find our support email address in the readme.txt file located in the Add-in Express installation folder. |
