During refreshing form (formsCollectionItem.ApplyTo(OutlookApp.ActiveExplorer());), I received error RPC_E_CANTCALLOUT_ININPUTSYNCCALL. Do You have any idea what is wrong ? Sorry for polish translation.

Hi Kotrak,

Where in the code do you call the formsCollectionItem.ApplyTo(OutlookApp.ActiveExplorer() method?

Anyway, could you please send a sample add-in project which can reproduce the issue to the support e-mail address (see readme.txt for details)? A newly created empty add-in project with steps to reproduce the issue is much appreciated. I will test it on my PC with Outlook 2010.

Also please make sure that you use an old build of Add-in Express 2010. You can download the latest build from our http://www.add-in-express.com/downloads/adxnet.php.

Hi Eugene,
formsCollectionItem.ApplyTo(OutlookApp.ActiveExplorer()) is invoke from AddinModule.cs and is invoke in background worker completed and method look like: 

foreach (ADXOlFormsCollectionItem formsCollectionItem in adxOlFormsManager1.Items)
{
    if (xxx)
    {
         formsCollectionItem.FormClassName = actualDisplayFormType as String;
         formsCollectionItem.ApplyTo(OutlookApp.ActiveExplorer());

    }
}

My version of Add-in Express 2010 this is 6.5 Release (build 3057)

Hi Kotrak,

Note, we don't recommend running another threads in Office COM add-ins. The fact is the Office object model is not thread safe. Please read more about this in the http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/8sesy69e.aspx article in MSDN and http://www.add-in-express.com/creating-addins-blog/2010/11/04/threads-managed-office-extensions/ on our technical blog. The ApplyTo method uses the Outlook Object Model to get its job done.

Does the ApplyTo method work in the main thread as expected?

FYI The latest build of Add-in Express 2010 is 6.6.3059.
