Hi,

I'm really new with dev in C#, C++, etc... Thank's to your really good Add-in Express tool, I have made my extension for IE. I have the msi and setup.exe file. Everything is ok, I can Install by opening the msi file or the .exe. But just after installation, Internet Explorer ask me if I want to activate the extension. If I don't answer, the extension is never activated and I have to go in the options to activate it manually.

Is there a way to create a .exe that install the msi and activate it in IE ?

Thank you

Hello Jean,

That's correct: it isn't possible to bypass this. I would like to point you to the necessity to run setup.exe (not .MSI) when installing an IE extension requiring administrative privileges - this is a must for installing prerequisites!

Hello Andrei, Thank you !

I have just tried the demo here http://www.add-in-express.com/creating-addins-blog/2011/08/26/advanced-internet-explorer-bars-vide/ and I steel have the "activation question" from IE. In the Video there isn't this problem, it seems to be activated automatically. Do you think I have a mistake in my configuration ?

Hello Jean,

As explained, you can't bypass this.

In the video, Ty uses an IE version that doesn't has this effect.
