Installed for D7 under XP Pro. Get the following error message when I start D7:

Can't load package C:\Program Files\Add-in Express\Add-in Express for VCL\packages\adxwizardd7.bpl.
Registration procedure, Register2000.Register in package C:\Program Files\Borland\Delphi7\Bin\dclOffice2k70.bpl raised exception class EFilerError: A class named TWordApplication already exists.
Do you want to attempt to load this package the next time a project is loaded?

<Yes> <No>

Then once I click yes and D7 starts, if I load the first Excel sample project I get an out of memory error that won't go away.

Please help.

BTW you should allow the inclusion of pictures in these messages (or attached file) so that I don't have to type such long error messages and risk typos.

Thanks Andrei! Now I can start Delphi with no error message. However, I still get the out of memory error when I opent the sample project:

Access violation at address 008398D0 in module vcl70.bpl. Read of address 00000008.

Best,

Larry

Hi Laurent,

What project are you opening?

Do you have D7 Update Pack 1 installed?

Can you create a new Add-in Express project?

I am opening "Your First Excel Automation Add-in\Delphi 2007\".

I am not sure whether I have D7 Update Pack 1 installed. How do I find out and how do I get it if I need it?

Yes I can create a new Add-in Express project (see my other, more recent thread about the compile error).

BTW your product seems really good.

Best,

Larry

Hi Laurent,

Thank you, your version is the same as ours, you have Update Pack 1 installed.

I have just tried to open the sample you mentioned, it opens without any problems. Please make sure that the sources you downloaded are not marked as read-only, probably this causes the error in your Delphi. Also, do you have any other third-party packages installed?

I unmarked the sources so that they were no longer read-only. The problem persists. I have a many third party tools installed. Could that be an issue?

If you know of any 3rd party tools that are particularly troublesome, I would appreciate it.
