The Add-in express 2010 Extensions VCL design time and 2010 for VCL design time packages are both in the packages list, but even though I check "add in express 2010 extensions vcl design time package for delphi 5", when I restart Delphi 5, it becomes unchecked again.

any ideas? .

Hi dexter,

I think you have installed "MS Office XP Sample Automation Server Wrapper Components" and if you follow this link http://www.add-in-express.com/add-in-delphi/requirements.php you will see that MS Office 2000 Sample Automation Server Wrapper Components should be installed.

To solve the problem you should do the following:
1. Close all opened projects.
2. Go to Component|Install Packages and remove "MS Office XP Sample Automation Server Wrapper Components" (select it and click the Remove button).
3. Click the Add button, then find the dcloffice2k70.bpl file ("MS Office 2000 Sample Automation Server Wrapper Components") in the {$DELPHI}\Bin folder and click the Open button.
4. Click the OK button to close the Default Project Options dialog.
5. Restart your Delphi.

Thanks for the quick response Andrei.

I actually saw the same suggestion posted back in 2006. I am using Delphi 5 Ent.. My bin folder did not have dcloffice2k70.bpl.

Hi dexter,

It was my fault: the steps above should mention dcloffice2k50.bpl, not dcloffice2k70.bpl.

Does this help?

andrei,

that package was already loaded. However, if I have it changed and then create a new project using the outlook add-in, it remains checked. But if a regular application is open, the option is unchecked.

not so much a big deal as long as I can create an addin project.
